The band, whose name means "Sour Milk", was formed in August 1966 - its founders were Marcin Limanowski and Andrzej Bogunia; in September they were joined by Stanisław Brzozowski, and in October by Krzysztof Mróz. The band, then still taking shape, came under the patronage of the Kraków-Grzegórzki District Headquarters of the Polish Scouting Association (ZHP).

The first rehearsals were held at the "Łącznościowiec" club at the Main Post Office (ul. Westerplatte 1), later in the conference room of the PKO bank building (ul. Wielopole 21 / ul. Dietla 90). Getting the equipment and instruments together and working on the repertoire (made up not only of foreign songs but also of the band's own material) went on until early 1967.

KM gave its first concert on 5 February 1967, during a ball for ZHP instructors at the House of Culture for Children and Youth at ul. Grunwaldzka 5.
From February to May 1967 the band performed (in the line-up: 3 guitars + drums or 2 guitars, piano + drums) at the House of Culture on ul. Grunwaldzka, at the "Łącznościowiec" club and at the "Yacht-Club".

On several occasions KM was joined by guest singers - the sisters Anna Brania and Elżbieta Brania and Ryszard Kluziewicz, while rehearsals were also attended by beginner vocalists: Barbara Czajkowska, Wacław Masłyk and Maciej Pytel.

The band, whose name means "Clubs" (the card suit), was formed in May 1967 by merging the group Kwaśne Mleko with the duo of the Chrenkoff brothers.
Its first performance took place on 4 June 1967 at the House of Culture for Children and Youth at ul. Grunwaldzka 5*.

From June 1967 to the spring of 1969 the band played in the following clubs: "Pod Budą", "Gryf", "Pratchawiec", "Pod Przewiązką", "Karlik", "NOT", "Cassino" and at the AGH Students' Social Centre; its regular rehearsal space was a room in the basement of the Garrison Officers' Club (ul. Bitwy pod Lenino 1).

Apart from the foreign songs popular at the time (by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Animals, the Hollies, the Swinging Blue Jeans, Cliff Richard and others, with Polish lyrics by A. Bogunia), the band's repertoire also included a number of its own pieces; these were instrumental compositions by Marcin Limanowski (Gramy w Trefle", "Lotos", "Bileter", "Reflektor", "Lala", "Droga", "Szakal", "Blachowkręty") and songs composed by him to lyrics by Andrzej Bogunia, performed earlier by Kwaśne Mleko ("Jesteś Piękna", "Robak Mały", "Rzeczywistość", "To Jest Dom", "Powitanie Zimy", "Jeszcze Tylko Kilka Dni", "Lambretta", "Samotny Bitels", "Veto!", "Słuchaj, Słuchaj?", "Włodzio", "Kołysanka Dla Mojej Córki", "W Cikowicach") and songs written (music and lyrics) by Stanisław Chrenkoff ("Przyjdą Takie Dni Spokojne", "Nas o Radę Proś", "Odganiajcie Złe Dziewczyny", "Zapomnij Mnie", "Ranne Wstawanie", "Kto Mnie Zna", "Mówisz Nie", "Jesień", "Zwierzenia", "Przepraszam") and Włodzimierz Chrenkoff ("Biją Czasu Nam Zegary", "Nie Wracaj","Bal w Melinie 65").

Efforts made in the last weeks of 1968 to get radio recordings made ended in failure.

In the spring of 1969, following the departure of the band's leader - its musical director, multi-instrumentalist and composer, Marcin Limanowski - Trefle suspended their activity.
