In Kraków, the mid-1960s meant above all Skaldowie ("The Skalds"), whose music is still widely appreciated today.
     Although the band has its own website, run by Maciej Kabata, Skaldowie simply cannot be absent from this site, among those who shared Kraków's music scene with them in the 1960s.
     Since very detailed biographical material on the band is available both on Maciej Kabata's website and in the excellent, recently published book by Andrzej Icha "Skaldowie, historia i muzyka zespołu" (Skaldowie: the history and music of the band), I present here only the first line-up of the band, whose successful career continues to this day.
