The band
ELFY (
"The Elves") played at the Lenin Steelworks House of Culture (ZDK HiL) in Nowa Huta during the summer holidays of 1967.
The House of Culture was trying to find a band to replace
Ryszardy, who had left.
The gap was to be filled by the line-up below, which after a month of rehearsals took the name
ELFY.
Before long
Zenek Rybarczyk was called up to the army and
Jacek Wójcik joined the group on drums.
The band gave one performance, organised by the ZDK for "Farewell to Summer" (the ZDK had a production plan to meet!) on the Krzesławice estate.
Soon afterwards
Bogdan Majewski also went into the army, which brought the group to an end.
Janusz Satała moved to the band
MY OD KRAKOWA, where he played until the end of 1968.
Then
Andrzej Olkuski invited
Janusz Satała to the House of Culture in Pleszów to play in
PIĘCIU Z NAD WISŁY.
He spent 3 months there playing rhythm guitar, after which he gave up playing because of his studies at the AGH university...
